Lithium-ion Battery

    Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) are one of the most popular types of rechargeable batteries for portable electronics because they have many advantages such as high energy density, no memory effect and high voltage.

    We focus on research high performance electrode and evironmentally friendly active materials. For high performance elctrode Si, Sn and Al are suitable because those have a high specific capacity than graphite. For environmentally friendly electrode, we are trying to develop agarose (which is a polysaccharide polymer material, generally extracted from seaweed) based carbonized electrode materials.
